Jake Paque graduated from the
University of Wisconsin Stevens Point with a Bachelor of Fine Arts Degree in
Acting. His training included an
intense acting curriculum with numerous theatre related elective courses. While at Point he was fortunate to work in
nearly every aspect of theatre production; As an actor on the Mainstage in
productions of The Elephant Man, Two Gentlemen of Verona, Picasso at the
Lapin Agile, Fiddler on the Roof, Danstage, Crazy for You, Aida and Discovery
of America; as a scene shop assistant and manager, picking up invaluable
carpentry skills; and as a costume shop assistant, attempting to master the art
of the needle and thread. Through
college Jake educated himself in the basics of sound design and sound editing
and soon after, was applying his know-how with professional theatre
companies.
Directly after graduating, Jake
toured with the National Theatre. It
was a nationwide tour and Jake was able to see and perform in roughly 25 of the
48 contiguous United States. Jake has done
sound design and editing for National Theatre on multiple occasions, including Mornings of April and May; a tour he also performed in!
Having wrapped up tour Jake
returned to the Midwest for a brief stint and played Henry Harry in New stAGE’s
production of Brilliant Traces.
Jake then made the move to NYC
where he currently resides. In just two years in NYC, Jake has performed in over a dozen shows, recorded two albums with his band The World's Fair and shot several films.
Jake continues his career in
theatre, film and television based out of NYC. He is a member of Wide Eyed Productions Resident Acting Company. He is seeking agency representation.
